WiseMind-WiseBody is a practice of moment to moment observation of the mind/body process that helps you acknowledge and handle all aspects of life experience - pleasure and pain, fear and joy - with less stress and more balance.
Each group will provide an integration of guided practice (experiential), group process, and support for outside work. Groups will include:
Mindfulness practices as a path for personal transformation and skilled attunement to our deeper nature
Meditation, self-reflection and self-inquiry to help each participant deepen his/her own practice and to integrate it into one's everyday life
Emphasis on the support and methods of motivation, encouragement and group support to stay on track
In-depth training on specific mindfulness practices, including embodied practices
Emphasis on a non-judgmental but rigorous and honest appraisal of the roots of one's suffering, how to transform your relationship to suffering, and working with resistance to maintain one's practice
All techniques taught in group are grounded in the teachings, practices and research from the fields of mindfulness meditation, mind/body psychology, and neuroscience. Groups will be kept small in order to provide ample time for each participant's needs.
