As the climate emergency unfolds, we have an opportunity to bring conscious awareness to our internal and external responses. By practicing mindfulness together in community, we can identify our tendencies to deny the painful reality, hold space to allow feelings of grief, fear and anger to arise, and use the experience of suffering to open our compassionate hearts and inspire right action. Through brief instruction, guided meditation, and group sharing, our intention is to practice together in the face of the climate emergency in order to awaken and meet the experience with present awareness to the best of our ability. This eco-sangha is in collaboration with Choosing Earth, which offers a vision for deep personal and social transformation amid the climate crisis, encouraging us to look long into the future ahead, wide across whole system trends, and deep into the psychological, spiritual and cultural resources. This group practice supports the exploration of looking deep into our psychological and spiritual relationship to climate emergency.
